Picoma Industries, Inc. was founded in 1946, under the name of Pipe Coupling Mfrs., Inc. As the original name implied, initial production was centered on the fabrication of steel pipe couplings as utilized by the gas, oil and water industries as well as rigid conduit couplings for electrical raceway systems. Because of our internal threading expertise, Pipe Coupling Mfrs.,Inc. quickly developed an excellent reputation for their high quality and quick-service standards and subsequently decided to incorporate a more complete package of products for the electrical distributor, including rigid and EMT elbows, rigid nipples, running thread pipe, etc.
In 1966,the company designed and introduced 2.5", 3" and 4" EMT elbows, and set screw couplings and connectors. Trade Size 3.5" was later introduced in 1972. In 1975, Picoma Industries, Inc. designed and introduced intermediate metal conduit (lMC) elbows in both standard and special radius types.
Today, Picoma Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of electrical conduit fittings, offering a complete line of Rigid, EMT, IMC and Rigid Aluminum products from 21 conveniently located warehouse locations.
